From brief to result

A connected path from problem to practical outcome.

The project is shown as a sequence of decisions, creative development and practical outputs.

01

Challenge

BCIS was improving under ISP ownership, but external perceptions and internal communications had not kept pace. The school needed to close the gap between stronger institutional reality and unclear market perception.

02

Approach

Zest built the strategy through leadership interviews, audience needs, market research, a 41-point SWOT, competitor scoring, parent-value criteria, brand promise development, visual identity evolution and practical deployment tools.

03

Solution

The work translated BCIS into a complete operating system: a single credible brand story, four strategic pillars, a refreshed identity, brand guidelines, positioning materials, advertising templates and a social media strategy.

04

Outcome

Research made the strategy credible, strategy made the identity meaningful and design made the transformation visible. BCIS gained a clearer proposition and practical materials that could be used across every communication touchpoint.

The thinking behind the work

The key ideas behind the work.

The information from the original project materials is presented here as a native case-study narrative.

01

Closing the gap between institutional reality and market perception.

Zest moved from perception gap to structured research, parent decision criteria and prioritised SWOT analysis.

02

Turning evidence into a credible promise, brand platform and identity system.

The strategic work distilled real strengths into a single story, then made that story visible through a more confident and usable identity.

03

Making the repositioning usable for admissions, digital and school communications.

The strategy was carried into guidelines, positioning materials, social content and advertising templates without publishing the full case-study PDF.

Project depth

A measurable strategic framework supported the work.

Selected figures show the scale of the research, assessment or system developed for the project.

Evidence and practical value

Selected proof points from the work.

The project was designed to create a useful system, environment or communication outcome—not a single isolated visual.

01

5-stage repositioning programme: Discover, Diagnose, Define, Design and Deploy.

02

41 separate SWOT factors assessed and prioritised against parent value and differentiation.

03

Eight parent decision criteria translated into a strategic assessment model.

04

Five directional insights reshaped the brand story and communication priorities.

05

Four strategic pillars connected the school promise to practical proof points.

06

Identity updated from a literal globe mark into a more flexible symbol of movement, diversity and individual pathways.

07

Brand guidelines, positioning materials and social media strategy made the repositioning usable across admissions, digital and school communications.
